The Brooklyn Nets have officially torn down the last remnants of their big three. After trading away Kyrie Irving just days ago, they’ve made another big move.
On Thursday, just after midnight on the East Coast, the Phoenix Suns acquired Kevin Durant from the Brooklyn Nets in a blockbuster trade.

This marks the pathetic end to the Nets superteam era. Just 25 months ago, Brooklyn had Kyrie Irving, James Harden, and Kevin Durant all in their primes in black and white.
But, they’re now all gone. Harden was traded to the Sixers last February, and obviously, the other two were traded this week.
The Kyrie divorce was especially messy for the Nets. He was suspended from the team back in October for actions that were deemed antisemitic.
And, last week, he demanded a trade. He reportedly wanted to go to the Lakers, but they sent him to the Dallas Mavericks instead.
So, there is certainly some bad blood there. And, after his debut for Dallas last night, a 110-104 win for the Mavs over the homestanding Clippers, he was asked what he thought about the Durant trade and the Nets.
Kyrie on Kevin Durant getting traded from Brooklyn to Phoenix: “I’m just glad he got out of there.” Kyrie also noted that “there’s never been one moment where I felt he’s been angry at me for the decisions I’ve made.”

Yikes. That does not sound good for the Nets. There’s definitely some bad blood here.
