Even though he’s already won two MVP awards, Lamar Jackson is having the best season of his career this year. Now, he just need to cash in this remarkable season into a Super Bowl to establish himself as one of the true all-time greats.
Lamar Jackson and the Ravens have a huge test ahead of them this weekend in Buffalo in the AFC Divisional Round. Despite the forecasted frigid temperatures, Lamar Jackson is going to forgo wearing gloves.
Temperatures in Buffalo are projected to be pretty low on Sunday during the weekend’s marquee playoff game. Granted, that’s not out of the norm for Buffalo this time of year. The high on Sunday in Buffalo is just 22 degrees, with the low 8 degrees. And, with 10-20mph wins forecasted Sunday night in Buffalo, things are going to feel much colder than the actual temperature. At 15 degrees with 15mph winds, the real feel temperature is zero. Yeah, that’s cold.
Lamar Jackson has had to play in a good bit of cold weather in his time as a quarterback in Baltimore. But, this may be the coldest game of his career. When you add in the stakes of the game, he needs to be comfortable gripping and throwing the ball.
We’ve seen an increasing number of quarterbacks use a glove on their throwing hand. But, Lamar Jackson won’t be one of them this weekend.
Lamar Jackson scoffed at the suggestion of wearing gloves: "Naaaaahhhh. I tried it in practice. I was horrible. I'll leave that to Teddy Two Gloves." 😂pic.twitter.com/i4vx6lI3bY
