Wednesday night Lonzo Ball shocked a lot of people when instead of wearing his high-priced Big Baller Brand kicks he donned a pair of Kobe’s Nike basketball shoes instead.
To make matters even worse for LaVar, Lonzo went off for 36 points, 11 assists, 8 rebounds and 5 steals while NOT wearing his Big Ballers.

What are those?
Even the king himself, LeBron James took notice (he was at the game), telling Lonzo to “Just. Do. It.”
Naturally, because he has no off button, LaVar Ball addressed his son’s decision to not be a “Big Baller” on this night.
“Lonzo is not forced to wear any brand and can play in any shoe he wants as long as it’s OK with the NBA,” LaVar Ball told ESPN by text early Thursday morning. “This is what being independent is all about.”
Lonzo also spoke to SportsCenter about his shoe decision, because of course he did…
“At BBB, you can play in what you want,” Lonzo Ball said on SportsCenter after the game. “I already played in both of my shoes, might as well get the ‘Mamba Mentality’ going. Put ’em on, and it worked out tonight.”

Lonzo Ball wearing Nike's instead of Big Baller Brand shoes tonight is hilarious. LaVar Ball's son isn't a big baller I guess…

So does this mean Lonzo might be working with Nike now? LeBron was at his game, dressed in purple no less. According to LaVar, there are “no negotiations with Nike.”
