Last night, the struggling Los Angeles Lakers briefly ceased their poor play to pull out a 124-116 upset over division rival Golden State.
LA was led by superstar LeBron James, who’s 56-point double-double helped push the Lakers to the top. It was easily James’s top scoring performance of the season and will hopefully give the team some momentum as the postseason creeps closer.
James was absolutely unstoppable for most of the night. He appeared to be him old self after landing some criticism for poor effort late last week.
LeBron was flushing some monster dunks, creating posters of Warriors defenders throughout the night.

He was also swishing long range threes in the faces of his opposition, enough to make quarterback Matthew Stafford smile in disbelief.

Social Media Reacts To LeBron’s Big Night
Matthew Stafford wasn’t the only one appreciating LeBron’s impressive performance. Many around the NBA applauded James’s huge night on social media as he looks to keep the Lakers’ playoff hopes alive.
At 28-35, they sit five games out of eighth place in the Western Conference standings.

Bron ganna average 42/11/15 and theyβll be in the play-in. I expect Russ to turn things around only if the lakers start winning. Russ a player that feeds off confidence, let him go off for a game or two and heβll average a trip-dub. Winning lakers are scary entering the playoffs https://t.co/3qTxXXXFqk

If LeBron can keep up this type of play while getting some help from his supporting cast, it could make the Lakers a dangerous play come playoff time.
