No matter what you think about LeBron James as a basketball player, his actions off the court paint him as a perfect role model for the younger generation.
One of the most impactful things he’s done is create a public school in his home city of Akron to help lead those less fortunate to opportunities that they’d not have without. On Thursday morning, the NBA star made a surprise appearance at his ‘I Promise’ school in Ohio to hang out with aspiring young kids.

James spent some time with the youth following the heartbreaking mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas. He’s one of many athletes to show support and compassion following the tragic incident which saw 19 children lose their lives.
Seeing the kids’ reactions to having LeBron in the building was special. There were also a few hilarious responses to having been in the same room as one of their heroes. My personal favorite is the kid that says, “I’m under his beard, bro.”
