Leon Edwards Throws Water Bottle At Colby Covington’s Face After Colby Mocked His Late Father At Press Conference

Things got heated between Colby Covington and Leon Edwards at the UFC 296 press conference on Thursday.

Ahead of their fight, Covington came into the press conference wearing a George Washington outfit to trash-talk his British opponent.

Colby may have gone too far with his insults when he mocked Edwards’ late father which led to the UFC welterweight champion to hit in the face with a water bottle.

Edwards promised to take care of backstage for his comments.

“Colby’s a piece of sh–, he better make sure to keep that energy backstage.”

The faceoff between Edwards and Covington was also pretty tense.
