Much to the chagrin of Pittsburgh Steelers fans, and the many fantasy football players who drafted him, it does not appear as though Le’Veon Bell will be playing football this season.
At least if you believe ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who reported on Saturday that Bell is unlikely to report by the deadline this week, thus making him ineligible to play for the rest of the season.

If true, Bell will have to make a boatload of money over the next two seasons just to break even from sitting out an entire year.
The irony of that is the fact that back in 2013, Le’Veon Bell wrote a tweet bashing the very thing that he is doing by sitting out the entire year without an injury.
“If youu could sit out a year of a sport youu play and your not injured or somethin else is preventing youu to play, then youu don’t love it!” Bell tweeted, and is believed to be directed at JaDaveon Clowney, who was considering sitting out the season before the 2014 NFL Draft to keep himself healthy.

Naturally, because internet, someone rediscovered Bell’s tweet and yep, it went viral with jokes a-plenty.
