Lisa Wilson has made headlines once again. The mother of New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson went viral over the weekend for allegedly sending DMs to a fan after the team’s loss to the Jaguars.
In the exchange, she supposedly calls the New York fanbase “toxic” while saying, “It’s not possible for anyone to be successful here.” The full back and forth is posted below.
Safe to say Zach Wilson won’t be back with the Jets next season?

She’s now responded to the texts on her Instagram account.
Lisa Wilson claims that the DMs floating around the internet of her trashing Jets fans are completely fabricated. In an Instagram story sent over the weekend, she posted the messages with the caption, “These are fake… Merry Christmas.”
The reply was thought to be a response to her son’s poor performance in the loss to Jacksonville, where he completed just 50% of his passes and threw an interception. Now, it seems the exchange may have never taken place at all.
This is far from the first time Wilson’s taken heat for an incident involving her son. Before the season started, rumors swirled that Zach Wilson had slept with one of Lisa’s close friends, sparking controversy across the NFL.
She also blamed the New York media for her having to make her Instagram page private last year, though it’s now open to the public once again.
Things are already bad enough for Zach Wilson as he was recently demoted to QB3 following his most recent performance. It appears he may have another distraction on his hands as his season continues to go south.
The Jets’ playoff hopes are quickly fading, meaning the Zach (and Lisa) Wilson era in the Big Apple could be coming to an end soon. Rumors are already beginning to circulate regarding his future with the team, though head coach Robert Saleh insists that he remains a key part of the organization’s future.
