On Thursday, we were treated to one of the most unexpected moments to unfold at an NBA press conference in recent memory thanks to the moans that interrupted Luka Doncic’s postgame session, and it appears the culprit has been identified.

The Dallas Mavericks were hoping to bounce back on Thursday night after losing the first game of their second-round playoff series with the Oklahoma City Thunder, and they were able to do exactly that with the 119-110 victory on the road to tie things up at one game apiece.

You probably won’t be shocked to learn Luka Doncic was the top scorer for the Mavericks with 29 points (although he technically tied with P.J. Washington), and he also contributed 10 rebounds and seven assists to the Dallas cause while once again proving why he’s the team’s most dangerous weapon.

After the contest wrapped up, the Slovenian superstar got the chance to sit down and chat with the media for a press conference that was largely unremarkable aside from the very awkward moment that unfolded when he was interrupted by some suggestive moaning that suddenly broke out at a decibel level that made it impossible to ignore.

The moaning only lasted for a few seconds before ceasing, and it was initially unclear who was responsible for the interruption. Thankfully, we now have an answer courtesy of Tim Cato of The Athletic, who used his position as a Mavericks insider to get to the bottom of things.

Here’s what he had to say:

“My understanding is it was a player—a teammate of Luka’s—pranking him. I was not told which player. I didn’t witness it, but I heard it was a player.”

It’s also unclear where the moaning in question was sourced from, but if I’ve learned anything during the far too much time I’ve spent on the internet, there’s probably somebody on Reddit who will be able to figure it out by the time Game 3 kicks off on Saturday afternoon.
