On Friday night, President Donald Trump fired back at NBA superstar LeBron James for criticizing him during an on-air interview on CNN. During his rant, Trump brought up that he like Michael Jordan more than LeBron.
LeBron James (@KingJames) says Trump is trying to use sport to divide people, but he believes it brings people together. Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike!

After Trump’s rant, former NBA player Matt Barnes went on to Instagram to call out Michael Jordan to step out against the President.

Trump is the perfect example of how a man shouldn’t act! Maybe it’s the little dick syndrome 🤷🏽♂️ After he ended his insecure rant about Lebron yesterday by finishing w “I like Mike” I really feel like for once MJ should step up & say something for all of us who’ve supported this man & bought his expensive ass shoes for all these years!
#ILikeLebron -Just my thoughts
Jordan eventually responded to Trump’s tweet by releasing a statement through a spokesperson but many felt that it was weak.
Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan’s official statement, via spokesperson, in wake of Donald Trump tweet referencing him and LeBron James: “I support LJ. He’s doing an amazing job for his community.”

He is great at basketball and making himself rich thru basketball. Unfortunately, he will never take a stance on african american issues.

This why I don’t like MJ he has the platform the money of the Jordan brand and he still doesn’t try to make a difference .He could of called out trump but decided to just say he supports LBJ .

Knowing MJ there’s very little chance he every decides to take a strong political stance no matter how harshly he gets criticized by his fans.
