Texas super fan Matthew McConaughey was up close and personal to see the Longhorns lose in heartbreaking fashion at the Sugar Bowl.
On Monday night, McConaughey was on the sidelines rooting for Texas in their college football playoff game against Washington. ESPN even dedicated a McConaughey cam during their ESPN 2 broadcast of the game.

Late in the fourth quarter of the game, Texas rallied and nearly made a comeback. The game came down to one final play by the Texas offense inside the red zone, which was stopped by Washington.

McConaughey can’t be too sad, considering Texas will likely be contenders next season with Quinn Ewers returning and Arch Manning backing him up.
