After taking some much needed and well deserved time off from social media, former Olympic gymnastics gold medalist McKayla Maroney has been back in full force, and even recently joined TikTok.
In her return to social media after a two-year absence, Maroney wrote on Twitter, “Hold on tightly to what ur grateful for,” and “Caring less, doing more,” as well as thanking her friends, family and fans on Instagram, adding that she was “happy to be back.”
The 24-year-old has also finally been recording some of that music she has been promising for years now.
Her first song, titled “Wake Up Call,” came out in mid-March and Maroney stans were absolutely overjoyed.
this just made my year

nice job. your voice is really interesting to listen to. i hear different elements in there that I think will separate out over time and give you a really dynamic and distinctive sound. already good but i can see where it could go. cool song too, the ending is really well done.

More recently, Maroney released two more songs last week, one called “Spose To Do” and another, more interesting track titled “COVID LOCKDOWN (feat. JIG LeFrost).”
Here’s “Spose To Do.”
Next up is “COVID LOCKDOWN” which Maroney says she intitally wrote as a gag.
“tbh i wrote covid lockdown as a joke, but everytime i listen to it, it makes me laugh, and i think we could all use a laugh right now … i love u guys sm!! wish i had words to make things better. hopefully music helps a little!!” she tweeted.
