In January 2019, the wrestling world lost an absolute legend with the passing of “Mean” Gene Okerlund.
Okerlund was just as significant a presence in the WWF/WWE, and then WCW, as the men he interviewed.
Okerlund was a larger-than-life personality on and off camera, and as this collection of outtakes proves, the man was hilarious, able to ad-lib, and probably made these tedious and boring local segments way more fun.
Add Bobby “The Brain” Heenan to the mix and the train goes off the tracks quickly.
