It has been a week to forget for Michigan State football. Not only did they lose to their rival Michigan 29-7 to fall to 3-5, but they had quite the incident in the Michigan tunnel involving an altercation that turned violent. It’s an incident that many felt like Michigan State was the aggressor in, and has resulted in eight suspensions of Spartan players.
It’s simply not been smooth sailing for head coach Mel Tucker since he signed a massive extension last year. And now, he has to deal with alleged death threats.
Mel Tucker needed police protection at his radio show for the first time
Mel Tucker had his weekly radio show on Thursday, but there were some new guests in the form of armed officers.
Due to the excessive backlash and death threats since the Tunnel Incident, Mel Tucker has shown up to his weekly Spartan Media Network Show with security for the first time ever.

Yikes. This is not a good look. I don’t know who made the death threats, Michigan fans or Michigan state fans, and I really don’t care. You cannot, CANNOT, make death threats over college football. I mean, that could apply to everything, basically. Very few things are worth a death threat. But, college football certainly isn’t one of them.
People need to get a grip…. It’s just football….. no coach shld need security like this….

And, not to get too political, I’m not blaming this on any one party or ideology. We as a society just cannot handle any conflict anymore. It’s 350 million seven-year-olds on the playground at all times.
It is sad to be living in this whole debacle of a world since 2016! None of this was done or accepted in past years! Ppl, accept defeat/wins when it happens! Not sure what is going on, but it needs to stop.
