After the race, MJ was extremely happy to have finally seen one of his cars win in person.
“Denny (Hamlin) says I’m bad luck when I come to the track and today I proved him wrong…The team did a good job and I’m very happy to be here to see it.”
“It’s the NBA playoffs right now, so this is like an NBA playoff game to me. I am so ecstatic. Obviously, for the fans of the sport itself, we’ve been working hard to get to the point where we can compete against all the top guys in this sport, and we’ve done a heck of a job just to be where we are.”
It's the first time he's been at the track for a @23XIRacing win.

While leaving Talladega, MJ warned his security that he planned to get “absolutely wasted’ on the plane to celebrate his team’s big NASCAR win.
Michael Jordan: "Curtis! We gonna be wasted on the plane, just so you know."
Curtis: "What's that?"
MJ: "We're gonna be wasted on the plane."
Curtis: "Alright, sounds like a plan."
MJ: "Absolutely wasted. Thank you, gentlemen. See you guys later. OHHH YES!" pic.twitter.com/oqYWfjk4xO
