The Michigan Wolverines fell for the second time this season, losing to new conference rival Washington on Saturday. One UM staff member is now making headlines after the fact.

Chris Bryant, a former Wolverines offensive lineman, is seen on video threatening a Huskies fan from the sidelines. The clip picks up only one side of the story, starting just as Bryant makes his way to the stands.

What was said to invoke the reaction isn’t known, but judging by the response, it probably wasn’t the nicest of commentary.

Chris Bryant played in Ann Arbor in the early 2010s, and he’s been a member of the support staff for a decade. The imposing 6-4 assistant is currently listed as the Director of High School Relations.

Chris is in his 10th year on Michigan’s staff. He’s been on the sidelines of more than 20 different road venues.

If he’s coming over like that on camera, and the fans in question react like that, my first question is what was said that the anonymous Barstool account left out.

It was a frustrating night for everyone on the Michigan Wolverines’ sideline as the team fell 27-17. The offense managed just 287 yards while turning the ball over twice and doubling Washington up in penalty yardage.

Meanwhile, it was a revenge game of sorts for the Huskies, who were beaten by UM in last year’s national championship matchup.

That said, both programs have welcomed in new coaches and players as monumental changes swept through college football this offseason.

Legendary head coach Nick Saban abruptly retired after losing his College Football Playoff contest to the Wolverines, leading Kalen DeBoer to leave Washington for Alabama after his runner-up finish.

Former Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, meanwhile, bolted for the NFL after taking home his championship trophy. Sherrone Moore has filled the void.

Moore might not be happy to see this latest video make the rounds, but there certainly seems to be more to the interaction than what’s been shown. We’ll see if more information surfaces in the coming days.
