We sat down with Perry ahead of DBX 3 to get his thoughts on the fight card.

Mike Perry: “We got the most exciting, most disruptive combat sports event taking place at the Hangar in Miami. Dirty Boxing Championships is here yet again. Dirty Boxing Championships heavyweight strap, the first time we’re giving it away.”

“We got 11 returning Dirty Boxing fighters, as well as lots of UFC competition and other young, hungry athletes who have made names in other countries and around the world. So I’m very excited for everything that’s taking place. And these guys are going to put on a battle.’

“These guys are fighting to change their lives.”

The organization recently signed former UFC fighter Bryan Battle, who was cut by the UFC just last week for missing weight before UFC 319. Perry gave us his thoughts on the new signing.

“I think his attitude has been great, but it takes two to tango. Bryan Battle has been really great. It was nice to meet him and his opponent; it’s all about the mindset and lifestyle of a martial artist. The true best of a martial artist, and not to just go in there and hold on to each other and survive until time is finished. Here in Dirty Boxing, your cue is to stand in the middle and throw your biggest shots at each other, and may the best man win.”

Perry, who fought Jake Paul last year, gave us his thoughts on the upcoming Jake Paul vs Gervonta Davis boxing match.

“I think we’ll see Gervonta show skill and will be moving to keep himself safe. I think he can land some solid punches. I think he’s one of the best boxers. He’s definitely a big favorite of mine in boxing. I really enjoyed watching Gervonte’s fight. Jake’s a tough guy, and he’s coming for people’s necks. So maybe he’s looking to try to knock him out. But really, someone also said not to think too much into it, and just enjoy the show.”
