Yoel Romero is officially back, and he’s fighting for a new startup boxing league. On Friday, Dirty Boxing announced that the UFC veteran would be fighting in an invite-only event in Miami.
The event will not be streamed, but clips of the fights will be made available online afterwards, according to Uncrowned’s Ariel Helwani.
Yoel Romero is fighting tomorrow at the inaugural Dirty Boxing Championship event, Mike Perry’s promotion.
It’s a closed door event taking place in front of an invite-only audience in Miami at an undislosed location.

Dirty Boxing is a new fighting league started by former UFC fighter turned bareknuckle boxing king Mike Perry.
According to the rules, Dirty Boxing is a hybrid between MMA and boxing, that allows for certain ground and pound situations but no takedown
1. Fighters will wear 5oz gloves. 🥊
2. Conditional Ground and pound is allowed. 👊
3. Elbows are allowed. 💪
4. Fights are contested in 3 rounds, each lasting 3 minutes. ⏱️
5. Main Events and Championship Fights will have 5 rounds, each lasting 3 minutes. 🏆
6. A customised DBX ring will be used. 🥊
Romero weighed in at 234 and will be facing off against Duane Crespo, who recently was featured on Power Slap but has fought in MMA and bareknuckle boxing in the past.

Romero has usually fought at middleweight and light heavyweight throughout his career, so it’ll be interesting to see how he looks at heavyweight.
