Bills Fullback Mike Tolbert Responds To Bills Fan Creating GoFundMe To Cut Him

It looks like the NFL’s longest playoff drought will remain. The Buffalo Bills are currently fourth in the race for the AFC’s two wild card spots and in order to make the playoffs, they need to beat the Dolphins and two of the following three teams need to lose their last game: the Ravens, Titans, and Chargers.

With the Bills playoff chances a pipe dream, Bills Mafia has begun pointing fingers. The scapegoat: fullback Mike Tolbert. Tolbert, who’s coming off a game against the Patriots where he tallied three carries for -3 yards, has just one rushing touchdown all season and is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry.

Hence, a member of Bills Mafia took it upon himself to start a GoFundMe page titled ‘Cut Mike Tolbert from the Bills.’

The GoFundMe page reads:

“As a Buffalo Bills fan, we need to be rid of this FULLBACK who can’t get more than 1 yard. It is frustrating to watch the Bills keep calling plays for him and it needs to be stopped. Please donate to show support as fans against playing him as a backup running back on the Buffalo Bills.”
Granted, there is no way a fundraising scheme could ever result in a player getting cut (the page has zero donations at the time of me writing this), but the page was likely created to send a message.
And the message was heard. Tolbert caught wind of the page and commented on The Buffalo Fantatics Instagram page, saying the following…

It’s going to be interesting to see how the 5’9”, 243 lb. fullback plays against the Dolphins or if the Bills opt to hand the ball to Shady McCoy every play.
