Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is fiercely backing his QB Mason Rudolph.
Last week the Steelers QB returned to the spotlight when Browns’ Myles Garrett went on ESPN to double down on his claim that Rudolph used a racial slur during their infamous on-field altercation last season.

Which then led to Rudolph immediately firing back at Garrett and calling him a liar.
1000% False.
Bold-Faced Lie.
I did not, have not, and would not utter a racial-slur.
This is a disgusting and reckless attempt to assassinate my character. https://t.co/mZcEcC0tCl

On Monday morning Tomlin went on ESPN’s First Take and not only defended Rudolph but also criticized the way ESPN has handled their coverage of the Rudolph-Garrett situation.

I fully support Mason Rudolph, we as an organization fully support Mason Rudolph and to be quite honest with you we were hacked off with what we saw this weekend not specifically with Myles Garrett, he’s been in the land that he’s in but what was displayed by ESPN and that panel, the way that the situation was presented, I don’t think that was fair to Mason Rudolph.
Mike Tomlin just dunked on ESPN on ESPN!
What an amazing moment.— Colin Dunlap (@colin_dunlap) February 17, 2020
Mike Tomlin is as measured a man as I’ve ever met. His going on ESPN and calling out ESPN should resonate.
