MMA may have a new golden boy in 19-year-old phenom Tenshin Nasukawa. The Japanese kick boxer
amassed an amateur record of 99-5 by the age of 18, topped off by knocking out multiple-time stadium champion Wanchalong with a powerful swivel kick when he was still a high school student.
He now has become the face of major Japanese promotion Rizin Fighting Federation after beginning his fighting career when he was just 13. His record to date: a perfect 26-0 in professional kickboxing and 4-0 in MMA.
If Nasukawa hadn’t been recognized in MMA circles before Sunday, he certainly will now.
At Rizin FF 10 this weekend, he fought Yusaku Nakamura in a kickboxing match and pulled off a move that has caught the eyes of MMA fighters and journalists all over the world. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the Rolling Thunder takedown.

The Rolling Thunder isn’t a new takedown, but the kick is typically delivered with the fighter’s outside foot. Nasukawa tweaked the move and delivered the blow with his inside foot, full speed, with precise accuracy.
The kick didn’t end the fight, but Nasukawa left some theatrics for the second round, finishing off his opponent.
