NBA Hall of Famer and former Utah Jazz great John Stockton caused a bit of uproar on social media when he appeared in an anti-vaxx documentary that was released on Thursday.
John Stockton (yes, that one) is in this particularly over-the-top anti-vaxx documentary trailer talking about "my significant amount of research" about COVID-19.

Other than John Stockton, this documentary features an all-star team of old school antivaxxers. RFK Jr., Del Bigtree, Andrew Wakefield.
It's a 9-part series and I am absolutely not watching it. Have fun! pic.twitter.com/A4p6ni4IF2

In the trailer for the 9-part series called Covid and the Vaccine: Truth, Lies And Misconceptions Revealed, Stockton could be seen talking about why was against government lockdowns during the pandemic.

“This isn’t a virus cheating us out of this opportunity, it’s the guys making decisions, saying no no we’re too scared, we’re going to shut everything down just sit in your house and be careful.
My kids and grandkids, hearing these things and accepting them as truth, when I know by my significant amount of research that it isn’t and it’s very frustrating.”
Of course, Stockton immediately started trending on social media because people were angry about his appearance in the documentary.
John Stockton showing up as an anti-vaxxer seems like a fitting bookend to this insane 48 hours of NBA news that opened with Chris Paul testing positive for COVID.

Having my kids and my grandkids hearing these things about John Stockton being an all-time NBA assist leader and accepting them as truth when I know by my significant amount of research that he isn’t and it’s very frustrating https://t.co/tcjEXqdpPQ
