The New England Patriots are, once again, celebrating a Super Bowl title, now bringing the Lombardi Trophy count in their facility to six under the duo of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. And, as each guy gets a little bit older — with Brady now 41 years old and Belichick at 66 — it has to be on everyone’s mind when the hell these guys are finally just going to call it quits. I mean, sheesh, if fans have Patriots fatigue, these two are solely responsible for infecting us with it.
Unfortunately, for all you New England Patriots haters out there, though, it doesn’t sound as if either one, Brady nor Belichick, is considering retirement. The quarterback has openly said a bunch of times that it’s his goal to play till he’s 45 years old, and, in Belichick’s case, as the greatest head coach in NFL history, he’s still on top of the sport, so why walk away from that when he knows he’s still the Don of the NFL?
One guy who seems to think the Pats dynasty could be going on for much longer is ESPN analyst Adam Schefter, who went on the Rich Eisen Show yesterday to give his take on the situation, while discussing the futures of both Belichick and Brady. Take a look below.

Here’s some of what Schefty had to say to Eisen about the New England Patriots’ future, and how there’s “no sign of letting up,” which is bad for all those football fans just itching at celebrating the end of the Pats dynasty.
Per NESN:
“Well, the thing with Bill is there is no sign of letting up,” Schefter said. “He just loves it so much. Now, at some point in time, he could decide, ‘You know what, I’ve had enough.’ But, I just can’t see his life without football because it is that important to him and it drives him that much. He is probably the most tireless person I know, the most tireless person I know, and have seen, because he’s incredible like that. I don’t care how old he is now, or how young he is, but he just keeps going and his appetite for it (never goes away). He gets to do it as long as he wants to do it.”
“At some point in time, maybe he wants to move into a Bill Parcells type of role where you ward over a football team, which he does anyway, he just does it as the head coach as opposed to being an executive. If he wants to do that at some point, sure. I don’t know. Is that two years from now? Five years from now? Nobody knows. Not even him. I would assume he will outlast Brady.”
…
“I don’t know. I know we want answers to these questions, but there really aren’t any answers right now. We know Bill loves football, Tom is going to get taken care of, and we’ll let it all play out the way it does.”
So, yeah, it sure as hell doesn’t sound like Adam Schefter thinks either Belichick or Brady are going anywhere. And, for those who wish the New England Patriots would just stop winning and fall into a Cleveland Browns-like demise, well, don’t hold your breath, because it doesn’t appear to be happening anytime soon.
