Football fans across the country have dealt with quite a bit of emotional whiplash over the last few days. Tom Brady retired. Then Tom Brady didn’t retire. Then we got an Conference Championship Round that featured 2 improbable comebacks. Now Tom Brady is actually retired.
While it was an emotional rollercoaster for all of the NFL’s fans, there might not be anybody who felt it like the New York Jets. They have been plagued by Tom Brady’s presence in the NFL for over 2 decades. Now, the Jets just want to be sure he’s actually done adding to their misery.

Brady dominated the Jets throughout his career. He went 30-7 against the Jets, posting 9,059 yards and 60 touchdowns against his longtime AFC East rival.
The Jets thought they were done with the scourge of Tom Brady when he left the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That wasn’t the case as he returned to New York this season and threw for 410 yards and 4 3 TDs in a comeback win. It’s understandable why they’re hoping that really was the last time they’ll ever see Brady.
The Jets followed up that tweet by sending one out congratulating Brady on his incredible career.
But seriously, congrats on a first-ballot, Hall of Fame career, @TomBrady.
