A 40-year-old Raiders fan, who has supported the team for over 30 years says he’s giving up on the team after all their losing.
The Raiders started the 2023 season 0-3, and have been 7-13 under the Josh McDaniels regime.
He declared that he’s officially calling it quits on his Raiders fandom due to the detrimental impact it’s had on his mental health.
The fan revealed, “The last 20 years have been the darkest of the darkest days.”

The Raiders constant losing since their Super Bowl appearance in 2002 has led a number of fans to give up, but this was done in pretty detailed fashion.
The Raiders fan says it cost him more than just game tickets and merchandise. He went on to admit: “This has taken not only my time and money following this franchise, but it has also taken my mental health.”
Summing up his decision, he expressed, “Having a team, who you’ve rooted for your whole life reward you with absolutely nothing but heartache is not something I want to keep doing.”
While many NFL fans of losing teams probably had thoughts of giving up on their franchises, this fan actually went on to do it. Have to wonder if it will lead to more people leaving their teams behind.
