Odell Beckham Jr’s free agency took an interesting turn yesterday.
For a while, it seemed like the Los Angeles Rams were one of the favorites to sign him upon his return from injury, but yesterday, he claimed that they had given him a lowball offer to return to the team.
LA knows where I wanted to be… but they didn’t offer me…. ANYthing! So idk what people want me to do, I def kno my worth and what the offer was isn’t reflective of that. So it’s tough to say that I can come on back even tho I thought I finally found that home !

At the time, he didn’t provide any details on what that offer was or what he was looking for.
Today, NFL insider Ian Rapoport revealed that Odell was hoping to get an offer o]like the one Michael Gallup received from the Cowboys during the offseason.
Odell Beckham Jr wanted a Michael Gallup-type offer from the Los Angeles Rams
From NFL Now: Free agent WR Odell Beckham Jr. wanted a Michael Gallup-type offer from the #Rams, which is why he's upset. But plenty of time to make it happen (if both sides are still interested). pic.twitter.com/kBNimD35uc

Odell Beckham Jr, what he wanted. What he hoped was more of a Michael Gallup situation, get it, where he tears his ACL, the team knows him, they believe in him. They offer him a big multi-year deal taking into account that he tore his ACL and would not be back until mid-November and then he was locked up and just had a team for the next several years.
For comparison, Gallup signed a contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys that is worth $57.5 million over 5 years. That contract included $23 million dollars guaranteed.
It’s not really clear right now what the market looks like for Odell coming off of another major lower body injury and having posted some disappointing seasons with the Browns, but it looks like a contender is going to have to pay up for him if they want him to make a playoff run this season.
