The Chiefs and Bills played one of the greatest playoff games in NFL history on Sunday, but it ended in anti-climatic fashion thanks to the league’s overtime rules.
After tying the game late in the fourth quarter, the Chiefs won when they marched up the field and scored a quick walk-off TD in overtime.
MAHOMES TO KELCE.

Allen and the Bills offense weren’t able to touch the ball in overtime due to the NFL’s rules that allow the receiving team to win the game if they score a TD.
Josh Allen didn't get to touch the ball in overtime…. just like Patrick Mahomes didn't get to touch the ball in overtime in 2019.

Fans are now calling for the NFL to re-examine their overtime rules.
The overtime rule for playoff games must change. If this one doesn’t spark a more fair approach nothing ever will.

The NFL OT rules need a complete overhaul.
If a team scores a TD first, the other team should have the opportunity to match with a TD of its own.
Flip of a coin determines too much.

A plea to change the OT rules immediately so that both teams touch the ball. Like literally this second.

Time we re-examine the @NFL overtime rules. Josh Allen threw for 329 yards and 4 touchdowns, he scored on 3 of his final 4 possessions and never touched the ball in overtime. #Bills

Josh Allen deserves better.
Change your overtime rules please @NFL.

CHANGE THESE OVERTIME RULES @NFL ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. Retweet if you agree.
— Marcus Whitman (@TFG_Football) January 24, 2022
The NFL has the worst overtime rule in all of sports. How do you allow a game that good to end without the other team even getting a chance to respond?
Also, @timthetatman’s curse is as real as it gets. This man should be banned from tweeting his predictions for sporting events. pic.twitter.com/D9v486mnoJ

Change your overtime rules @NFL.
Stop taking fun away from us.
— Brett Kollmann (@BrettKollmann) January 24, 2022
Imagine not getting to touch the ball in OT. I’m not talking just this game. The @NFL overtime rules are fucking stupid.

This is the biggest indictment of the NFL overtime rules. Bills deserve to return serve
