The NFL’s pass interference replay system is broken and is a complete joke.
After the New Orleans Saints fiasco in the NFC championship game, the NFL decided to implement a new pass interference replay review system to prevent missed pass interference calls from affecting games in the future.
This season’s new replay system gives coaches the ability to challenge offensive and defensive pass interference penalties in the first 28 minutes of each half, with the final two minutes subject to booth review.
Unfortunately, the NFL has overturned very few pass interference calls on the field and it’s getting absurd.
During today’s Ravens-Texans game, the refs missed an obvious pass interference penalty committed by Ravens DB Marlon Humphry. The Texans challenged the call on the field and refs refused to overturn the non-call even after reviewing it on replay.
This was ruled to “stand” as not pass interference by Marlon Humphrey on DeAndre Hopkins. LOL. #Ravens #Texans pic.twitter.com/WkKmi1d1MC

I know you probably don’t care, but because they did not reverse this obvious pass interference (in a game I don’t even care who wins) I’m turning the game off and getting caught up on my DVR recordings. I’ll watch the highlights on SportsCenter tonight (which I’m anchoring) pic.twitter.com/9VnVvwh9rv

If that DeAndre Hopkins play can’t get reversed, pass interference shouldn’t be reviewable. Just change the rule back.

"After review, the ruling on the field stands."
The NFL turned pass interference and replay into a complete and total joke.

Thank god they instituted pass interference review so they could get these calls right pic.twitter.com/YtE7i7gqXV

Non pass interference call is challenges and stands. Ravens got away with one as league continues to show their reluctance to overturn PI stuff.

The @NFL is becoming more of a joke every week. They can’t tell what pass interference is in real time. And now they can’t tell what it is on replay. pic.twitter.com/Oa7aAIu78g
