In the annual rite of <summer, some of the top NFL rookies for the upcoming football season were filmed reacting to seeing (and complaining about) their Madden ratings for the first time.
The 2019 NFL rookie class features several big name players including Kyler Murray, Daniel Jones, Dwayne Haskins, A.J. Brown, T.J. Hockenson, Parris Campbell, Darius Slayton, Noah Fant, Hakeem Butler, Benny Snell Jr., Miles Sanders, Marquise Brown, Deebo Samuel, Josh Jacobs, Nick Bosa, N’Keal Henry, D.K. Metcalf, Riley Ridley, Gary Jennings, Miles Boykin, David Montgomery, Hunter Renfrow, Drew Lock, Mecole Hardman, and every single one of them thinks that their Madden 20 rating should be higher.
“Oh, this is all type of disrespect,” said David Montgomery when he saw his 71 overall rating.
“I don’t know, I’m a rookie, maybe high 70s, low 80s?” Daniel Jones guessed. Then he saw his rating. “Yeah, I’d be interested to see how we get 63.”
“63?!” said Darius Slayton, when told of Jones’ rating. “He can throw. I’m better than him.” (Slayton got a 68 rating.)

When Hunter Renfrow saw that he was rated 70 and Kyler Murray was a 73 he asked, “I should have made a little more money, shouldn’t I?”
Benny Snell Jr., however, seemed very satisfied with his rating of 69. “Madden did not do me wrong,” he said with a giant smile. “They did me justice, baby.”
Overall, the top rookie in EA Sports’ Madden 20 launch ratings is Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams with an 80.

He was followed on the list by Bills defensive tackle Ed Oliver, Jr. (79) and 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa (78). The top-rated offensive skill player is Ravens wide receiver Marquise Brown at 77. Murray was the highest-rated QB at 73 and the Rams’ Darrell Henderson, Jr. is the highest-rated running back at 72.
