Colin Kaepernick is getting another shot at the NFL.
On Wednesday, it was confirmed that the former 49ers star was working out with the Las Vegas Raiders this week, and from all accounts, that session went well.
On Thursday, reports began to surface noting that “the door is open” for Kaepernick to join the squad.

It shouldn’t come as a total shock.
Raiders’ ownership has been high on the passer this offseason, with owner Mark Davis saying that “he believes” in Kaepernick and would be willing to sign him if head coach Josh McDaniels wants him on the roster.
At 34 years old, Kaepernick knows that he might not be able to step into a starting role, but he thinks he can make a team better with his presence in the locker room.
And he’s probably right.
Over a six-year career, he threw for 72 scores and ran for 13 more. A true dual threat option, he’s the type of player that’s now thriving in the NFL.
Now, that’s not to say he’s better than most other starting quarterbacks in the NFL, which is a ridiculous theory seeing that he’s been out of the league for some time.
Still, he could prove a viable option for teams looking to add quarterback depth.

Kaepernick’s last meeting with any #NFL team was with the #Seahawks in 2017.
His last game played was Week 17, 2016 v. Seattle.

I hope the Raiders sign Kaepernick because he will stand on the sideline as the back up to Derek Carr. Unless Carr gets hurt, Kap will never play & this will confirm the reason he isn’t in the league is because he isn’t good enough to start. His martyrdom will be over. Forever.

One thing we can agree on is that the Raiders will sell a lot of #7 jerseys if they do indeed sign Kaepernick.
