Noah Lyles is the world’s fastest man. Tyreek Hill is the fastest player in the NFL.
The latter genuinely believes he could beat the former in a race… or does he?
Lyles doesn’t think Hill is serious about the challenge and put him on blast for chasing clout and dodging smoke. It will be interesting to see how the Miami Dolphins wide receiver responds to the call out!
Although his time in Paris did not go as well as he might’ve hoped on account of respiratory illness, Lyles won the 100-meter sprint at the Olympics and finished with bronze in the 200. Hill, nicknamed ‘Cheetah’ in reference to his speed, was an All-American track star in high school and on the JUCO level.
There is a newly-initiated beef between them that escalated to a new level during a live episode of ‘Nightcap’ with Shannon Sharpe and Ochocinco.
Hill declared last week that he would beat Lyles in a race. Lyles claimed he didn’t even know Hill’s name in response to the initial challenge. The 27-year-old American sprinter doubled down on Saturday night.
Lyles said that he knows Hill as ‘Cheetah’ but often forgets his given name because he is not relevant to his day-to-day life. And then he proceeded to cook him.
Hill ran track at an official, organized track meet in March of 2023 and won the 60-meter event.
However, as Lyles pointed out, it was the ‘Masters’ division and his opponents were weak. It was an irrelevant race, and a time of 6.70 at 60 meters does not move the needle at all for track and field.
Lyles chirped Hill for avoiding real competition unlike D.K. Metcalf, who ran the 100 at the USATF Golden Games in 2021. He also accepted the challenge. If Hill really wants the heat, Lyles will give it to him.

The ball is in now Tyreek Hill’s court to stop talking and make a race happen through the proper channels. Until then, he is not worth Noah Lyles’ time and/or energy.
UPDATE: Hill responded to Lyles’ talk on Sunday morning.
Sign the contract and lock in that 50 yard race ….

50 yards??? Weak!!!
Lyles is right. Hill really is dodging smoke.
