Last night, Noah Syndergaard became the second pitcher in Mets franchise history to hit two home runs in one game. Syndergaard, who was just one day shy of the one-year anniversary of his major league debut, hit one solo homer in his first plate appearance and a three-run dinger in his next–accounting for all four runs in the Mets 4-3 win over the Dodgers.
Noah commented on taking Kenta Maeda yard twice after the game:
“I don’t think I ever hit two home runs when I played little league. To be able to hit two home runs in a big league ballgame, especially with a pitcher like Maeda up there, it’s an awesome experience.”
Noah buddied up with his teammate Yoenis Cespedes to share a celebratory blunt after the game. And likely a real one after the game.
