Could Freddie Kitchens land on his feet despite struggling in Cleveland last season?
Earlier this week, the NY Giants stunned much of the football world when they announced they were hiring Pats wide receivers coach Joe Judge to become the team’s head coach.

The New York Giants are finalizing a deal for New England Patriots wide receivers coach Joe Judge to become the team’s next head coach, league sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
Judge, 38, was the youngest of the seven known candidates mentioned for the Giants’ vacancy and has been mentored by Alabama coach Nick Saban and Patriots coach Bill Belichick. He is considered a no-nonsense guy who isn’t afraid to ruffle feathers with players if necessary.

Both Kitchens and Judge spent time together coaching at Mississippi State and are close friends.

Kitchens isn’t the only person the team is talking to about the OC job. Former Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is set to talk to the team late this week.
