Olivia Dunne is the “It Girl” of the summer of 2023. The LSU gymnast and social media sensation is everywhere you look.
She first came to prominence as an Olympic hopeful for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The former national team member saw her hopes dashed due to injury problems, but she’s carved out a role as an All-American for the powerhouse LSU Tigers gymnastics program.
But, it’s her social media presence that has launched her into the zeitgeist. The blonde 20-year-old has over 11.6 million followers on Instagram and TikTok combined. She has more followers than the population of Belgium, to put it into perspective.
And, her big break came this year in terms of the mainstream, when Olivia Dunne was featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. She did a ton of press, gallivanting with some of the biggest models in the world.
But, in the meantime, she’s still making viral TikToks, the platform where her following really took off during the COVID Pandemic. And, she teased her audience by the simple act of eating a cherry. Yet, it somehow worked? Take a look.
