Yusuf Chothia was unable to advance past the Round of 16 at the Olympics in Paris earlier this week. The Australian boxer was disappointed by his questionable loss but he was thrilled to finally eat.
His massive post-match feast was months, if not years in waiting!
Chothia, 23, lost to Lozano Serrano 4-1 on split decision in the Men’s 51kg competition. It was scored 30-27, 28-29, 27-30, 28-29, 28-29 in favor of the Spaniard, which was a shocking to his defeated opponent.
Although the loss was hard to swallow for Yusuf Chothia, he was delighted to enjoy a large meal with the Olympics competition behind him. Boxers are required to maintain a strict diet and workout regimen to maintain their weight. They typically chow down on foods they haven’t been able to eat after the specific number on the scale is no longer required.
Chothia was not the exception. He ate so much food after his frustrating loss!
Chothia’s sumptuous repast was rather intense. The Olympics food bender continued all night and included:
- Two kebabs
- Hamburger
- French fries
- Five different sodas
- Cookie
- “A couple of” ice pops
- More cookies
- Baguette
- Marshmallow treats
- A bag of lollipops
- Another hamburger
- More lollipops
- Chips
- Bowl of fruit
While that may not seem like that much food to some of the more gluttonous Americans, remember this is someone who weighs only 112 pounds. That’s a lot of grub for a small guy!
Even though Chothia didn’t win his Round of 16 boxing match at the Olympics, he thought that he should’ve been declared the winner and ate like a champion anyway. It was a well-deserved meal after months of strict, uncompromised dietary regimen. Hungry no more!
