Top 10 heavyweight boxer Otto Wallin is pushing for a fight against Anthony Joshua.
Joshua was set to face Oleksandr Usyk in the coming months, but the Ukrainian Usyk is currently in his home country fighting in the war against Russia, and it’s unclear when he will be able to return to boxing.
In the meantime, Joshua has expressed interest in taking an interim fight while the Usyk situation clears up, and he’s named Luis Ortiz, Joe Joyce, and Otto Wallin as potential fights he would like to take.
Anthony Joshua's "top choice" for his next fight would probably be Deontay Wilder, Eddie Hearn has said, assuming Oleksandr Usyk is unavailable. Hearn revealed AJ has also picked out Luis Ortiz, Otto Wallin and Joe Joyce as he does not want an easy interim fight. [@IFLTV]

We spoke with Wallin about a potential fight against Joshua, and he believes he’s the perfect choice for the British boxer to fight while he waits for Usyk.
“First and foremost, I want to say that I hope that Usyk and all the Ukrainians are going to be safe, that’s the most important, but if Usyk can’t fight, I want to fight him (Joshua.)
I feel like I have the most similar style to Usyk, I’m a southpaw, I fight somewhat similar to him, I think it would be a no-brainer for Joshua if he wants to prepare for Usyk he should have me in there, but the only way they wouldn’t do that is because I would too big of a risk to beat him.”
