Patrick Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL.
In fact, Mahomes has already solidified his legacy as one of the best quarterbacks to ever play in the NFL.
That much is clear to everyone.
Unless, of course, you’re Cincinnati Bengals superstar Ja’Marr Chase. Chase has established himself as one of the league’s best wide receivers.
He’s also perhaps the world’s biggest supporter of Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, with whom he attended college at LSU.
During a recent media session, Ja’Marr Chase was asked about his thoughts on Patrick Mahomes, widely regarded as one of the best quarterbacks in the league.
Chase then responded “Pat who?”

Given the context, of course, it was very clearly a playful jab at the Chiefs signal caller.
To Chase’s credit, he’s 2-0 against Mahomes since entering the NFL. Mahomes has not broken 300 yards passing in either of those two games and has just three combined passing touchdowns.
But, Mahomes is also the reigning Super Bowl champion. Soooo….
On Thursday night, Mahomes and the rest of the Chiefs players received their Super Bowl 57 rings. And the already legendary QB had just two words and a picture to send Chase’s way.

“That’s who,” he captioned a photo of himself with each of his two Super Bowl rings.
The tweet immediately blew up. Within 12 hours it had over 10,000 retweets and 40,000 likes.
You can’t fault Chase for backing his guy. In fact, he recently said that Burrow was the No. 1 player in the NFL. So it appears he’s ready to stick to his guns and back his teammate.

But the numbers, and in this case the Super Bowl rings don’t lie. Mahomes is, unquestionably, the league’s best quarterback. And if Burrow wants that moniker, he’s going to have to go out and take it from him first.
