The Eagles went on to win the game, and fans on social media piled on MVS over the dropped pass.
During his postgame press conference, Mahomes was asked about MVS’ drop, and he issued a classy response.
“I have no regret … just didn’t come away with the ball. I could probably throw a little shorter — he was that open.”

Mahomes refused to throw his wide receivers under the bus when repeatedly asked about the team’s dropped passes.
“They know I’m gonna keep firing it,” Mahomes said. “Usually they’re going to make the plays. It happens.”
“That didn’t just lose the game, there was a lot of stuff that happened,” Mahomes said. “It starts with me. I’ve got to make better throws at certain times.”
“I didn’t make good enough passes in certain situations.”
