The New England Patriots have been a hot mess this season. Especially on the offensive end.

Some are speculating the franchise seeks a replacement at quarterback in the coming offseason. For that reason, we now have some drama unfolding all thanks to social media.

According to Dov Kleiman, starting left tackle Trent Brown allegedly liked a tweet suggesting the Patriots should replace Mac Jones with either Tom Brady or Jimmy Garoppolo. The tweet in question was sent by reporter Bill Barnwell who was suggesting what he thinks New England should do in the offseason.

If you go to Trent Brown’s Twitter account and check out his most recent likes, Barnwell’s tweet doesn’t show up. We haven’t seen or heard Brown combat Dov Kleiman’s report (yet). So with that in mind, it’s very probable the Patriots’ left tackle liked Barnwell’s tweet, then unliked it shortly after.

Of course, this is all speculation, but it’s stirring up drama regardless. Especially considering New England has looked dreadful throughout most of the season. Specifically speaking the offense is just downright bad. Maybe a quarterback change would do the Patriots some good. However, we don’t know what their plans are for the future.

Maybe Trent Brown will come out and address the situation to at least quiet down some of the drama. In the end, Bill Belichick is likely to keep things under wraps as best as possible. Despite the fact this season has been incredibly off-brand for what we expect from the Patriots.
