Paul Skenes Embarrasses Shohei Ohtani With Nasty Pitches & Ohtani Gets His Revenge

Pirates rookie pitcher Paul Skenes is nasty.

In his first four games in the MLB, the former No. 1 overall pick appears to be real deal. On Wednesday, Skenes faced his biggest test when he pitched against Shohei Ohtani and the deadly LA Dodgers lineup for the first time in his career.

Last year, Skenes spoke highly of Ohtani during an interview with the Denver Gazette.

“He’s really fun to watch,”. “I’m grateful for what Shohei has done. For him to do that at the big-league level has given flexibility at lower levels, such as the minors and college.”

Despite his admiration for Ohtani, Skenes served up the Dodgers star and his teammates some nasty pitches.

In the first inning of the Dodgers-Pirates game, Skenes straight up embarrassed Ohtani with a three pitch strikeout.

Ohtani would later get his revenge on Skenes by blasting a home run off the young pitcher

Seems like Ohtani vs Skenes has potential to be an amazing rivalry in the next few years.
