Two-time PGA tour winner Grayson Murray died at the age of 30, and we’re beginning to see reactions from around the golf world.
On Saturday after, the PGA Tour released a statement announcing Murray’s tragic passing.
“We were devastated to learn — and are heartbroken to share — that PGA TOUR player Grayson Murray passed away this morning. I am at a loss for words,”. “The PGA TOUR is a family, and when you lose a member of your family, you are never the same. We mourn Grayson and pray for comfort for his loved ones.”
Murray had played in the first and second rounds of the Charles Schwab Challenge this week before he withdrew from the competition on Friday.
Peter Malnati, who had played with Murray this week, was extremely emotional while speaking about Murray’s death.
“This is going to be really hard, I didn’t know Grayson all that well but I spent the last two days with him and it’s so funny, we get so worked up out here. It’s so competitive out here and then something like this happens and you realize, we’re all just humans”
