The Los Angeles Chargers acquired a solid wide receiver prospect in Quentin Johnston in the first round of the NFL Draft.

He’s a big-bodied target who has excellent run-after-the-catch abilities. For that reason, many have high expectations for the young rookie.

With that in mind, it sounds like Johnston is ready to begin his NFL career. But before getting started, the young prospect gave his mom the best gift ever after being drafted.

According to PFF, Quentin Johnston claims that his mom can put in her two-week notice at work. The Chargers rookie announces he is retiring his mother.

What a great way to give back to his mom. How many people can say they retired their mother?

Quentin Johnston doesn’t provide any details after that statement, but this is a good notion for the Chargers’ rookie.

If anything, it means the kid has a good head on his shoulders. Couple that with his athleticism, and you have yourself a solid prospect. Football fans seem to agree.

Let’s just hope Johnston is here to stay for the long haul.

The Chargers rookie is certainly winning fans over.

Johnston lands in Los Angeles at the perfect time. Keenan Allen isn’t getting any younger, and Mike Williams is nearing 30 years old.

The Chargers bring in a talented young star to grow with Justin Herbert.

With that said, keep a close eye on Quentin Johnston throughout the summer as he has the potential to make an immediate impact on the Chargers offense.
