David Jean-Baptiste installed himself as a legend on campus overnight in Chattanooga. This came after he drained an improbable 3-pointer in overtime to send the Chattanooga Mocs to the NCCA Tournament with a win over Furman that secured a Southeastern Conference title.
The radio call of David Jean-Baptiste’s buzzer-beater is nothing short of pure electricity. Jean-Baptiste accounted for 13 of Chattanooga’s 64 points on the night which was the second-most amongst Mocs scorers. Furman’s Mike Bothwell went OFF on the night and led all scorers with 24 points but in the end, it wasn’t enough.
I’ve pulled a few different versions of the video below and reactions from fans. This magical 3-pointer in overtime sent the Chattanooga Mocs to the NCAA Tournament for just the 12th time in program history and only their second tourney appearance since 2009. Check it out.
