Los Angeles Rams Looking To Make a Huge Splash By Moving Up In The 2025 NFL Draft

The Los Angeles Rams keep defying expectations. Despite a roster that has undergone a major overhaul in recent years and some slow starts, head coach Sean McVay and company continue to find a way into the playoffs and play pretty well once they get there.

The Rams do need to continue to add talent if they want to repeat as NFC West Champions. And, a new report says they plan to do just that.

The dynamic duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua as pass-catchers for the Rams is no longer, as Kupp was released and then signed with the Seahawks. That means that the Rams need help in terms of weapons for Matthew Stafford to throw to. According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini, they have a plan.

Expect the Rams to once again show interest in a tight end in the first round. Last year, Los Angeles tried — and failed — to move up to select Brock Bowers. I’m told Sean McVay and Les Snead could once again try to move up to get their guy.

If you want to get a tight end, this is certainly the draft to do it. While Brock Bowers was a fantastic prospect last year, and paid that status off with a phenomenal rookie season, this year’s NFL Draft has two tight ends that are universally considered first-rounders.

Penn State’s Tyler Warren leads the way. The Nittany Lion had a huge senior season in 2024 after finally getting the top job in what’s been a loaded Penn State TE room the last few years. The converted quarterback is enormous and played a Swiss Army Knife role for Penn State last year while winning the Mackey Award.

Michigan’s Colston Loveland was hurt by bad quarterback play last year, but he profiles as an elite receiving tight end that can beat teams down the seam. He’s got All-Pro upside as well.

The players are there for the Rams to make a move for a tight end.
