The Arizona Cardinals shocked the NFL world yesterday when they signed oft-injured quarterback Sam Bradford to a massive one year $20 million.

As the NFL’s quarterback carousel keeps turning, Sam Bradford intends to sign with the Arizona Cardinals, a source tells ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The Cardinals don’t have any other quarterbacks under contract.
Bradford’s deal is expected to be one year for $20 million, including $15 million guaranteed, with a one-year option for $20 million, according to the source.
While many believe the Cardinals decision to sign Bradford to a huge contract is justified considering the limited quarterback pool in the NFL, Ravens safety Eric Weddle isn’t happy with Bradford’s deal and he took to twitter to voice his displeasure.

Weddle went on to argue that if he had a season like Bradford did last year, he would be “out of the league”.

Weddle is 100 percent right. If a position player gets injured they have a pretty rough time negotiating their next contract but it’s a different world for QBs. While Bradford probably isn’t worth $20 million there’s not that many QBs in the open market to choose from and in the end he was probably the Cardinals best option. Hopefully Bradford doesn’t get injured early in the season and he can prove that he’s worth such a massive contract.
