Kelly Stafford Called ‘Demonic’ And ‘Vile’ For Boasting About Dating His Backup QB To Manipulate Matthew

Kelly Stafford has been making headlines with the things she says on her and other podcasts for a few years now, but this one may be the straw that finally breaks the camel’s back, as the wife of Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford is getting buried in the court of public opinion for revealing she cheated on Matt in college.

Appearing on the Off The Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe podcast (the number of podcasts in media right now is truly obscene), Kelly Stafford recalled not only cheating on Matthew while they were at the University of Georgia but doing so with his backup quarterback and dormmate.

“It wasn’t that cute of a relationship at first,” Kelly said. “I hated him, I loved him. I dated the backup to piss him off, which worked — he was the bad boy too. Matthew’s so sweet and a Southern gentleman and all that stuff. And the backup was the complete opposite, and it upset him.”

College football fans dug into the archives to see who Stafford’s backup was at UGA, and have narrowed down the options as being Logan Gray or Joe Cox.

Stafford continued, detailing how she did it to manipulate Matthew into wanting her more, proudly claiming that “it worked.”

“They lived in the same dorm room because athletes lived in the same dorm room,” she said. “He would see my car there. At one point he waited and followed me into the car. I was like, ‘This is amazing, it’s working.’ I was like, ‘Get out of my car.’ He was like, ‘He’s not right for you.’ I was like, ‘What? You can’t tell me that.’”

Former Los Angeles Chargers linebacker Shawne Merriman even chimed in, saying that he was “sick” for Stafford.

“Normally, I laugh at division rivals, but this is the wife and mother of Matthew Stafford’s children talking like this. Straight up demonic to embarrass your husband like this on a podcast and brag about it. Look how much fun she’s having with the memory,” one NFL tweeted.

“This is one of the most vile videos I’ve seen in a while. Kelly Hall, Matthew Stafford’s wife gleefully boasts how she slept with his teammate at Georgia to make him jealous. We have zero shame in this society,” said another.

One football fan compared Stafford’s comments to those of Jada Pinkett Smith, who similarly embarrassed her husband in the public eye with boastful tales of indefinitely.

“Kelly Stafford’s comments on this podcast remind me of Jada Smith on Red Table Talk. Publically humiliating your significant other is unwise & hurtful to your entire family. Some things are best left unsaid.”

Kelly and Matthew got married in 2015 and have four daughters together. Since being drafted #1 overall in the 2009 NFL Draft by the Detroit Lions, Stafford has amassed career-earnings of approximately $430 million.
