RUMORS! RUMORS! RUMORS! FLEETWOOD MAC’S SEMINAL ALBUM RUMOURS! Have I made myself clear — these are just RUMORS. So miss me with that fake news, clickbait bullshit. I put the word RUMORS in capitalization in the title. It’s tough to be more forward than that.
So, now that the disclaimer is out of the way (which is obligatory these days because the internet fucking stinks), there are rumors that former New England Patriots tight end and current WWE star (?) Rob Gronkowski is set to come out of retirement to sign with the Tampa Bay Bucs to reunite with (his literally) old buddy Tom Brady.
The rumors begin with PFT Commenter of Barstool Sports via his “dog’s” Twitter account, @LeroyInsider. An admittedly hilarious long play, PFT has been desperately trying to corner a legitimate news outlet into crediting his fucking dog with breaking a story. And if this Gronk rumor is true, he will have perhaps finally achieved it.
On Friday, April 10, PFT — nay, Leroy — posted about the rumor, saying that if he’s so confident in the scoop that if he’s wrong, he’ll “retire” from trying to break news.
This is true. I am more confident than ever in my reporting and will retire from the scoop game if credited for the Gronk story. Will be time to relax, play golf, and spend more time with my family bark bark pic.twitter.com/Ptqh4QNheW

That was then followed up with a quote tweet last night that featured Fox’s Jay Glazer claiming he was going to be breaking “big, big, national” news on Fox Football Now.

That rumor was then further fueled by our buddy Pat McAfee, who also speculated that the news Glazer is referring to is in regards to Gronk.
NFL Insider @JayGlazer claims he is breaking some MASSIVE news tomorrow night.. What could it be I wonder? #PatMcAfeeShowLIVE pic.twitter.com/WJPHzXCm66

Both PFT and McAfee are well-connected — on a friendship level — in the industry, so I see no reason why we shouldn’t believe them on this one.
