Former UFC champion Ronda Rousey is in the process of trying to get her first graphic novel published. So on Tuesday she visited the Squared Circe Reddit page for an “Ask Me Anything” session to promote her Kickstarter.
It probably didn’t go quite as she had hoped.
While Ronda Rousey did get to talk about her graphic novel called Expecting The Unexpected and her pro wrestling career, it was only after sifting through two hours of people peppering her with questions and comments about her promoting a conspiracy theory in 2013 about the 2012 mass school shooting in Sandy Hook in which 26 children and staff were murdered.
Calling it an “extremely interesting must watch video,” Rousey would later delete her post, but then followed it up with another one that was far from an apology.
@BloodstainLane thanks, I just figure asking questions and doing research is more patriotic than blindly accepting what you're told

“Considering 20 children were slaughtered and one was shot as many as 11 times, is it fair to say that you owe a much better public apology than the one you issued?” reads the top comment on Ronda Rousey’s Reddit AMA on Tuesday.
“In your graphic novel ‘EXPECTING THE UNEXPECTED’ Will we see something unexpected like you apologizing to or acknowledging the families of the victims of the Sandy Hook Massacre where 20 children were ruthlessly gunned down?” the second comment reads.
“When you voiced Sonya Blade in Mortal Kombat 11, did all of your past bad decisions regarding your views about Sandy Hook being staged cause you to deliver an incredibly uninspired performance or was it just because you weren’t right for the role to begin with?” someone else asked.
“Much like wrestling, a lot of people now think UFC is staged,” another comment read. “Seeing as you competed in both, can you shed some light on if they’re staged, and while we’re at it, can you comment on if the Sandy Hook shooting was staged?”
“I’d heard rumors that WWE had pitched an angle to repackage you as a pirate character, the descendant of a well-known swashbuckler. Supposedly you shot this down,” someone else wrote. “Did you deny it because your gimmick was going to be ‘Sandy Hook?'”
“Do you plan on firing your PR team for this dumpster fire, or will you use this as a sign that you have a lot of personal growth to do?” another Redditor asked.
“After reports of fear of your mother breaking all contact and refusing to speak to you if you tapped out in WWE, do you think anything similar will happen since you tapped out of this AMA you set up?” echoed another Redditor.
Others wanted to know why someone with her resources was asking for the public to fund her comic book.
“Kickstarter is for those lacking resources to fund their projects,” one person asked. “Given your likely lucrative contracts with Hollywood, UFC, and WWE, why are you launching a Kickstarter? Also, why should everyday people support a campaign from someone who’s probably earned millions?”
And on and on it went. She wasn’t even safe on X (Twitter).
Nice work avoiding all the questions regarding this today Ronda.
Those mean redditors starched you way harder than Nunes did
