The LA Rams are on their way to the Super Bowl but they got some much needed help from the refs late in today’s NFC championship game.
While the Saints were in the red zone down 10 with 1:45 left in the game the refs missed this obvious pass interference call against the Rams.

Here’s a closer look at the play.
Instead of giving the Saints a first down and the chance to run down the clock, they instead kicked the field goal which gave the Rams enough time to march down the field to tie the game.
After the game, Saints coach Sean Payton told the media that he spoke with the league office over the phone and they told them that the refs on the field blew the call.

Sean Payton says the NFL told him they blew the call on two counts – pass interference and helmet to helmet.
This is absurd. I cannot believe this.
