We have another pass interference controversy brewing in New Orleans.
On the final play of the game, Kirk Cousins threw the ball at tight end Kyle Rudolph who caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime.

Several people questioned whether Rudolph pushed off on the play.
Was this pass interference?https://t.co/NjQIctDtdN

Looks like a push-off to me, but was it enough?pic.twitter.com/CZdiiMqsk5

The refs however decided not to use the new pass interference replay review system that was implemented this season after the Saints got screwed in the playoffs last year and Saints fans weren’t happy.
Update: NFL VP of officiating Al Riveron explained why the NFL didn’t review the play.
"All angles of the final play of #MINvsNO were looked at in New York – there is contact by both players, but none of that contact rises to the level of a foul." – AL pic.twitter.com/FvnuA3I4cs

The NFL set up replay review on PI calls because they blew a playoff game missing one. Then they decided not to use it while deciding a playoff game that had a questionable PI call on last play. Makes sense…..

Pretty blatant OPI though. The NFL literally created the pass interference challenge because of an awful call against the Saints last year, and this year, doesn’t use it.

The NFL told me my whole life that if you extend your arm and lock your elbow it's pass interference. Not today apparently

The Saints get no love from the replay officials. One no-call last year then a refusal to review this last TD where a case can be made of OPI. They didn't review it because they would have had to overturn it. The league needs to take a long, hard look at the replay system.

The fact that PI replay review was instituted because of the Saints, then is not utilized on that play, is peak replay review

The NFL created a PI replay review system because the Saints got screwed on a call last year and they didn’t even go to a review on that questionable play
